Stevenage Town Centre 1970

A panoramic view of the town centre

This was my first ever serious panorama, taken about 1970. At the time I was living in a block of flats similar to the one shown here on the left hiding behind St George’s Church spire. My flat was on the eighth floor, which is where I took the pictures from. There were 6 portrait images on black & white negative film which I have now stitched together with panoramic tools. They were taken on a Mamya 35mm SLR camera with a 50mm lens.

  • My Mum who now lives in Peterborough has a picture of me sat on a home made trolley with that block of flats part built in the background. We lived in the Cul-de-sac on Cuttys lane.
