I drank here a number of times during the late 70s. The pub was a mash of a house and a public bar, which gave it a unique atmosphere. It was amazing that it had business as not only was it out of town in an obscure corner, the road to it was of poor quality. The road continued as a tractor path for over a mile a mile running alongside the A1M to Meedway which was then a no through country lane which connected with Fairview Road. The road alongside the A1M had a sinister feel to it. I looked at Google maps and it is all gone now.
