These lovely aerial photos were taken in and around Stevenage Town Centre in 1963 by the late Jim Shaw.
Jim was a keen photographer and took many photos of Stevenage during his lifetime. His grandson Mark Bruce is a professional photographer based in Knebworth and he has kindly shared his Grandfather’s photos with us here.

Great to see these photos. I was born in Stevenage in 1956 at 48 Burydale. I have great memories of growing up there and what a lovely place to live. More photos please?
