I attended SGS. 74-79 I remember Mr Robson Carmen Linda Mandel. Mrs Searle I’m sure took us to Amsterdam trip which I remember such fun. Miss Osborn was replaced with Mrs Black Samantha Norman I made friends with Jane from knebworth. School dinner was lovely. Cross country was awful. Maths I’m sure was Miss Fox ?? Miss Hill. Art and drama. ? I was a form leader Biology teacher I think most girls fancied him !!! I loved domestic science. If anyone has any pictures would love to see them.
Was at GGSS from 1963 to 1970 and remember Mr Robson well. History ‘A’ level only had 3 participants once we got near to the exam – Jane, Felicity and myself so we were almost tutored. Met him again when he was pushing a buggy round the Town Centre years later. Then on the Supply Teaching round in the 1990’s when I just couldn’t call him Colin. Memories!
I remember Colin Robson from when I attended Skegness Grammar School, 1959-66. He was one of the few teachers who encouraged me and I responded, ending up as a Head of Humanities and the author of several history textbooks. All down to Colin’s inspiration. We also both played for Skegness Cosmos FC- he was a creative midfield player. Thanks, Colin.
I remember a classical concert held here. Famous guitarist who played classical Spanish compositions. It was beautiful. Does anyone know what became of the history teacher Mr Colin Robson or the geography teacher Mrs Seale?
I remember it well too! Started there in 1959 in the 4 th year when we moved to Stevenage. Can picture Mr Braddy ( J H ?)the Caretaker and passed by the bungalow everyday …..only had to walk over the road from Collenswood Road !

I went to this school from 1959-1964 I think I was in 5c in 1964. If you were in my class can you remember the name of the gym teacher?

Colin Robson is still around. He lives in the Chells area with his wife Carmen. We see him every Sunday at Church.
It’s November 2014 and Colin Robson is still around – I see him in the Chells area quite often.
