How I remember this night well, we had just finished screening ‘Thomas Crown Affair’ when the press came in and wanted a pic. It was also a bit of a secret kept from both staff and public that we where going to close. BTW, that’s me, back row (under the ‘n’) aged 17 1/2 and I was the main projectionist for the last year of cinema operations. Now the building has gone, such is progress.
