  • I occasionally watched Stevenage Athletic FC at Broadhall Way during the early 70s.  The club was in the Southern League, and league football was a dream.  I was disappointed that Alex Ferguson got FC Manager of the year in 2011.  It should have gone to Graham Westley of Stevenage Borough.  They rose from the Conference to League 1 back to back, and remained debt free.  A tremendous achievement to the manager and the club.
