Made from welded steel in 1976, and originally on a Portland stone base, this three-dimensional interpretation of the Leisure Centre’s family symbol was presented to Stevenage Borough Council in 1977 by Vincent & Gorbing, the architectural firm  which designed the Leisure Centre, where the sculpture now stands in a private courtyard.
