Bragbury End
Much of the area known as Bragbury End was built on land belonging to Bragbury, a Grade II listed house built in 1760 for William Manfield. It was used as a hospital during World War I and requisitioned again by the government during World War II. British Aerospace acquired it and its extensive 45 acre grounds as its sports and social club until circa 1995. It has since been divided into flats, and a small housing estate built in the grounds.
On the opposite (south) side of the A602 was Bragbury End Farm, which later became first a garden centre, and more recently a new housing development.
