This 14-minute 1965 documentary news feature from Anglia Television’s news magazine programme Focus On looks at life in the new town, with a tour of its industry followed by street interviews with residents about their life here and the so-called “new town blues” and then a look at what’s on offer for young people, at Bowes Lyon House in particular and an upbeat summing up from presenter Michael Partington.
