I arrived in Stevenage in 1925 aged 2 and a half from Campsea Ash near Wood bridge in suffolk when my father Fred Rawlinson obtained the post of foreman at Fairlands Farm which at that time was owned by mr Riches of Kitswell Shenley who needed it for shooting rites as well as HALF HYDE farm shephall’
