I came across this site by accident and it brought back lots of memories. I was at Shephalbury from 1960 to 1964. I ran away from home in 1964 and lost touch with all my friends and classmates. I did bump into Mr Ernshaw years later on a camping in Setubal, Portugal!! I especially remember our Maths teacher having really bad breath. He’d lean over you and I think it put me off maths for the rest of my life! Another teacher that made a huge impression was one who would throw things at pupils if they were mucking about. If he got really annoyed he’d thow his size 16 shoes.
I know of one friend who has passed — Judith Cockerton, and I would like to know if anybody remembers Christine Kerbyshire?
