Memories

I’m 63 and have lived in Stevenage since I was around 5, does anyone else remember the big field where now the railway station, dual carriageway, and Gordon Craig theatre now sit?, the little bit of road under the ramp to the station was the only road to London, and was connected to the old town high street before the fairlands way road was built, and the overpass over it. The fair used to set up in that field, and they still had a boxing booth where you could take someone on and make money if you could last a round with him. ?? Anon.
