Lovely picture, back row third from left, Harry Morton, my father, still going strong at 91 years young … been a resident in the town for 60 years, will take a snapshot of this and give it to him, thank you for posting
Jim Draper is my dad. We found this photo whilst trying to find some of his old football memorabilia. He later went onto play for Hitchin Town.
Ernie (not earnie – I don’t think he “earned” anything from football!) Hornett was my dad. I used to stand behind the goal and give him some jip apparently (I was only 6 or 7) – I only went for the 1/2 time lemonade and crisps! I think he played for Hitchin later on…
The team were Stevenage town at this time not boro.
