Stevenage Comes of Age

In this seven-minute documentary film, made in 1967 as Stevenage New Town was just about to celebrate the passage of 21 years since its designation as the first New Town on 1st August 1946, two 21-year-old men who were each brought here as children talk about growing up in the town.

The film, taken fromĀ  the University of East Anglia’s East Anglian Film Archive is available from the archives of the British Film Institute, as part of their free content.
